Bought worms two weeks ago and put them in the frige,
took them out tonight and they where frozen solid.
Well i let them thaw out and they look as good as when they went in, nice and solid, everything but the wiggle.
Anyone ever freeze worms and then use them to fish with.

Wow, that's interesting. Earthworms have always turned straight to mush when I accidentally let them freeze and thaw. Meal worms do better. Waxies die, turn black, and shrivel.

I would never do that intentionally, but one time I took some worms fishing and found them to be all dead and limp, they smelled horrible! I tried one and caught a fish on it (either trout or bluegill, I can't remember). I ended up using all the dead worms I had and wished I had more because the catching was great. Now I won't throw the dead ones away until I try them on the fish.

my frozen worms have always died. but I do agree dead worms are on my top ten list of bad smelling things, especially when you brother drops one between the seat of you truck[Wink]
