Looking for a quality retailer in Cache Valley who sells quality wheel bearings for trailers. I may be doing a wheel bearing job up there and may need to take the old bearings in to be sized to get new ones.

Down here in Ogden, I like Henderson Wheel & Rim. But I am not familiar with anyone like that in Cache Valley.

There is one place I've bought bearings for just about anything (wood splitter, chain saw, old truck, and yes, my boat trailer) and the business is great to work with. It is called IPACO, and is located on 1000 West and about 500 North on the west side of the street.

I got mine at O'Reilly's.

After you get your new bearing installed , put a set of bearing buddys over them . It is a spring loaded dust cap that will keep your bearing packed . Just keep them full of grease , with a grease gun . I have had them on my boat trailer 23 years and have never had a problem .

Thanks Scott. When I lived in Cache Valley 45 years ago, IPACO was just a few guys doing welding projects. I had no idea they now sold parts retail. I'll have to give them a go.

Yes Curt, I too use Bearing Buddys on all of my boat trailers over the years. Once I realized the concept of being able to create internal pressure on the inside of the wheel bearing cavity, I knew that was the only way to go for hubs that are frequently being submersed in water. Bearing Buddys are definately not nearly as important for utility trailers (not being submersed) as they are for boat trailers.

Even with Bearing Buddys, I still feel that wheel bearings on boat trailers should be servised once a year.

I'm sorry to tell you but Henderson's is all but closed, they sold most of their business to Napa . their bearings were kind of cheap and made in china also. trailer wheel bearings are so common you can get them at most any parts store though . just take the old one with you and you will be fine .
