I'm going to make a belated report on our first CCC tournament of the year even though it appears that none of our members are actually supporting the forum by making reports anymore. It is being reported on the CCC facebook page.

The winners were actually couples and that is a pleasant surprise.
First place went to Bob and Tabitha Ramsey, 7 fish, 7 lbs 14 ozs.
Second place went to Brian and Tina Howard, 7 fish, 7 lbs 13 ozs. Tina reported that she caught the 3 biggest fish. emoBigSmile Brian was not a happy camper. emoPoke emoBigSmile
Third place went to Seth Coleman and Nick Long, 7 fish, 7 lbs 2 ozs.
Big fish for the tournament went to Jim Edmister and Chink Brown. 2 lbs 5 ozs and fish was released. Chink was the lucky charm. emoPoke emoBigSmile

We had 16 boats turn our for the first tournament of the year and that was great. Looking forward to the next one as well as the Canine for Crappies tournament that is coming up next Sunday, the 19th. Hope we have a good turnout from our club for this worthy charity tournament. It will be fun.

I cleaned 20 crappie this morning from our catch yesterday and from all evidence that I collected this AM, this is my conclusion. The Black Crappie are mostly spawned out and the White Crappie are at peak of the spawn right now. They are just beginning to spawn. I had about 10 fish from each species. The males were low on testosterone. emoUpSmile emoGeezer
