I was out of crappie in the freezer to fry and have a strong desire for fresh fish tonight. That spells a crappie trip for me. Headed to the lake and started fishing spawning flats. Had no trouble locating a few and getting a good limit started. About noon the flipping bite stopped so I went dock shooting. Culled up to a pretty good limit. No tarps today but had a couple in the 13 inch range with most of them in the 11 inch range. Probably boated around 40 or so with about half being keepers and the rest just short. The deep bite was off and none of the points I like to crappie fish produced any keepers. The dock and spawn flats were the best. All of them caught on crappie assassins, 1/32nd oz heads and four lb test. Now I got to get to work cleaning them.<br /><br />Fresh fish for supper! Woo-Who! emoHungry Jmax
