Found a cool place called Wakeside Lake to go bass fishing with my family. We caught 20+ bass. It was a good time.

It's a private lake, but it was really reasonable for fishing only $10.00 for a half a day. I felt like it was worth it. Here is a picture of one of the Largemouth my wife caught.

We fish rainbow/wakeside lake quite often. It is a great lake to fish. When you consider how much you would pay for gas to find good bass fishing it is a great place. They are trying to reintroduce trout, but are having a hard time because there are so many bass eating them out of house and home.

None of the bass we caught looked like they could eat a trout. I wish I would've caught one that big. Maybe it's the tiger muskie's eating the trout? They told me there were some in there.

Plus, I'd rather catch bass than trout. It's just my personal preference.

I didn't realize they were allowing fishing again. I'll have to give it a try.

Almost forgot to ask. Is it catch and release or do they allow some keepers?

Is what I meant is the trout are having a hard time getting enough to eat because the bass are so over populated.

I forgot to inquire. It would probably be a good thing if someone kept a few of the little bass. I don't know if you can keep any.
