The wife and I just returned from our bear hunt in Northern Sask. Canada. Had a great trip, She killed a nice chocolate phase black bear the 2nd evening of our hunt. They had this particular boar on trail cameras several times. He weighed 350 lbs. they said he would have weighed 450 lbs. last fall before he went into hibernation. I never saw a bear in 6 days of hunting... must have been the after shave I was wearing. I may do a return trip this Sept. combined with a goose hunt. This was a first for us and I was proud of the little lady sitting in a ground blind by herself, she has never seen a bear in the wild while hunting, she made a great shot and the bear piled up within 25 yards of the bait site.

Very cool. What did she shoot it with?

She killed it with her Remington 700 30-06 and a180 grain Winchester Fail Safe bullet.
