We tried about every lure that we normally use and only managed one bite . Fairly windy . Going out in an hour again. We are in the south east corner.

Try the A-Frame Bay in 7 to 9 feet of water or in the middle of the Cliffs about 50 to 100 yards out and fish with a Beadhead Electric Black leech - if the wind has died down. From 5:30 to 9 in the morning was the best time on Saturday.

I forgot to say that I am a hardware chucker as are most of the ones I fish with. We managed about 15 which is way down from the usual numbers. But they were larger that the last two years on average. The water was nice last night from 8 till dark.
I may have to pull out some flys.

Were you able to try flies with any success? Did the bite seem fairly random, or tied mostly to on type or color of lure?

The guy with the flys was not with me. Green or silver lures worked best but very slow. I only saw 3 other fish caught plus my three. Fish were full of the black bugs/flys.
