Huntington Reservoir gets the best of us again. I had two nice cuts on, big and feisty but my leader snapped both times. I was pissed. I was using a Wooly both times.

But we managed to land 1 nice trout on Cleveland Reservoir.

We then went through the mountain towards Scofield and fished the river between Electric Lake and Scofield.

I landed a small Tiger, a Brook, a small cut and had a nice size cuthroat on the line and he threw it off just as I got him to the bank. All in all, a great day before the storms hit.

Was this the river that goes into Schofield (south end flowing north) or the river/stream that goes into Electric Lake (north end flowing south)? That is beautiful country.

It was the one that goes into Electric Lake, it was amazing and quite beautiful

One thing I failed to mention earlier was that both the Huntington and the Cleveland water levels were up about 3-4 feet since we were there last week.

There are often quite a few cutts in that stream spawning just after ice out. They may be just finishing by now. Glad to hear about the water levels up there. That is encouraging.
