The report for the moon of June.
Many Beach going trips in all the spanish virgin islands ( Culebra, Vieques,Icacos,Palomino etc). The Summer Heat is Here.
By the end of May and the first week of June the bite progressively got better, specially in the San Juan Area. The transition was from zero to 100. Many boats out, getting zero bites. This week boats out and some getting multiple bites a day.
For Us in the north east corner no billfish in the spread, The king fish bite was active and also the first schools of skip jacks are arriving in the area. Marlin candy.
The National Marine fisheries finally deployed the Fads in the north PR trench By the San Juan area. They are asking for reports of the boats fishing the area. Memorable catches Vicente Oquendo got a 72# wahoo on 30# test while bottom fishing with electric reels, he left the 30 rod drifting with a naked ballyhoo on wire BOOM.
Free willy caught two KIng Macks the same day 52# and 50#.
