How about an update on these 2 lakes. I want to go tomorrow either half a day or all day depending on the reports I get.

Last Friday at Ririe I caught 10 kokes all of them were released because they were small (6-8 inches). Fish were between 20-40 fow. Pink and green wedding rings, pink and white hoochies behind silver and white flashers. All were tipped with shoe peg corn. I fished for about 6 hours. Still looking for the 13-16 inchers.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Watching the weather and if I have to tend grandkids.

I drove by Twin on Monday, but there were several other tube fishermen in the area I wanted to fish, so I went to a quieter lake. That being said, no real boat traffic out there. I heard that they aren't allowing any boats with ballasts on the lake anymore, so that should make it a quieter place for fishermen. The lake is completely full.

The other lake I fished had bass on beds and hordes of gills cruising the shallows, so I'd imagine Twin is experiencing similar conditions.

[fishon]What is ballast on boats .

They are big bladders inside the boat that fill up with lake water to add stability to the boat. Obviously they're the perfect way to transfer mussels too.

Not to mention "fat sacks" make it so the backend of the boat rides low so it makes a huge wake for wake boarding

Yeah, not the best thing for reservoirs with earthen dams. I wouldn't want them on my reservoir either. Plus they're just obnoxious.
