Well my girlfriend just gave me a float tube for my birthday. It's a classic accessories Cumberland. I have never foahed from a tube before so I was wondering if anyone would be will to give some hints tips or tricks of the trade. Thanks guys

There is a float tube seminar, look it up on DNR website. It is next week. Also there is a post about it on this site

Really wish I could make that. But work says I have to fly out Monday night.

I believe it will be on youtube after the seminar as well. My biggest piece of advice would be to use the shortest and lightest possible rod. Easy to detect strikes as well as great for setting the hook. Well I guess if you are fly fishing the rod length wont matter.

Float Tube forum here is great.
You will NEED a PFD (not necessarily on but with you) Fins, and waders. A WHISTLE or an AIR HORN would be a good thing to pack as well.

I don't know if I agree with that. I bring 9 rods with me out on my tube and some of the baitcasters go all the way up to 7'11". Lightweight is good though for sure.
