I have been rained off, blown off, and soaked clear thru the last 2 trips to Willard. I'm going to give it another shot this morning. I have a couple minor boat trailer repairs I need to do, then if the weather will allow, will go drown some worms.
Wave and holler if ya see me............

May the repairs be easy and catching the fish even easier. Good luck let us know how it was I'm planning on a trip there tomorrow.[reply][/reply]

Thanks hookjaw. The repairs went quick, no problems. Got on the water about 0710 from the south marina. A beautiful day compared to the last couple

Headed past the island on the east side, angled over towards the light pole, and hooked up one junior sized Wiper. Released

Wind came up a bit and made it a bit difficult to go the direction and speed I wanted, so just dropped the hook outside and to the east of the south marina channel and wash the dirt off a few worms. Picked up 2 youngster kitties.......photo of one, the other was hooked by a whisker and dropped off just as I was lifting it over the side.

Not too long after that, had to call it a day. Daughter is within days of having my grandson and needed to get home to pick her up from work. Nope, no baby yet. [Wink]
But a nice few hours on the water without getting drowned, or skunked.

Only real fishermen can plan on knocking out a few repairs before heading out early! I actually get a little excited about working on my boat/motors...I have found myself a little giddy today knowing that my water jacket gasket is sitting in my mailbox just waiting for me to get home from work to install it! lol

As I fix old stuff all day for a living, I wouldn't say I was "giddy" about fixing the trailer, but I do prefer preventative maintenance to "broke down on road" or "shoot, boat sits crooked on the trailer". Was just finishing up some trailer upgrade I started a couple months ago, then had to wait for new bunk brackets to come from Florida [:/]. All done now though.
Hope all goes well with that water jacket.
