Since Jmax was fishing the CBA and we didn't fish the night CFF I decided to get out early and give it a try in my little Lowe 17 Stinger. I started shallow and didn't have any luck until 9:00 am or so when I picked up a couple of small fish fishing rip rap with a shakey. I move down the bank and got in a little deeper water (8&#39Wink and put a 2 1/2 lb keeper in the boat. I moved to a place with moderately deep water and grass and got a solid hit on C-rigged finesse worm. I put a 4 1/2 in the livewell. I fish that same area and managed a couple of short fish before I got a 3 to hit a texas rigged culprit worm off the end of some trees. My three keepers would have went right at 10 lbs. Not great but not bad either, I was just proud to have put a CFF limit in the boat. Got off the water around 11:00 before all the pleasure boaters got going. Enjoyed the morning although it was really hot. Water temps had cooled with the recent rains to 84 to 88. I fished from 1' to 10'. All fish caught were on soft plastics mostly finesse style worms. I think I did catch one fish on a twin tailed grub on the rip rap. We are blessed to have the natural resources we have right in our back door!
