I am looking to take my 9 year old out tomorrow to try and catch numbers of fish tomorrow morning (within 1hr of SLC). I do have a bass boat.

Was thinking deer creek but have not fished it this year. I just want to help him get on numbers of fish even if 9-12" long. We have done ok at Jordanelle on plastics but looking to have him fish a topwater or moving bait as he is starting to LOVE fishing and wants to learn other ways than dropshot and wacky rig.

Throwing soft plastics in the Wallsburg arm at DC in the morning is pretty good.

I wish I could tell you somewhere close. There hasn't been much to brag about the last couple years around here. As far as bass go.
