[#800000]I and a co-worker (Bobby Moon) decided to take two of his daughters up to the Berry today. We left the Layton area around 3:00 a.m. Those two girls (one 6 and one 16) were real troopers. The big full "blue" moon, was out in all its glory. Made me wonder if we would catch any fish at all. I'm always a little sceptable about fishing full moons.[/#800000]

[#800000]It was a chilly 34° when we arrived at the marina but soon warmed up nicely. No wind all morning. Wow, what a great day to be fishing with kids.[/#800000]

[#800000]It was the girl's first time fishing the Berry. Bobby, on the other hand had fished it once about 8 years ago. But the girls still schooled Dad anyway. It's always great when the kids can teach Dad a thing or two.[/#800000]

[#800000]White tubes tipped with chub was once again the only dish on the menu today. We vertical jigged them, casted them, and drifted them. Caught fish using all three techniques.[/#800000]

[#800000]We were off the water before noon. Even that was plenty for this tired little girl.[/#800000]

[#800000]We only boated a dozen fish but I was able to catch my biggest Berry buster yet this year. It was just under 26 inches. It was loaded with battle scars and was slow to go back down after being released. [/#800000]

Good lookin Cutts! Thanks for the report. I've always wanted to try jigging for them but my father in law and brother are all about the Trolling!

Ralph - nice to see you got out and took some youngins along - the reports are killing me... been working some extra long hours this week so even getting out in the evenings wouldn't work.

Looks like it turned out to be really nice day.
Great report coot. That's great the kids got into them, that 26" fish was probably really fun to catch but I bet seeing the kids faces light up when catching some fish was just as much fun for you.

Thanks for the report and sharing the great pics.

Great report! It always makes me Smile to see kids catch fish. Its funner than catching fish myself.
Thanks for your efforts in making this trip a good memory for them.
