Hey,

Moved her two months ago from Minnesota before that lived in Florida. I am looking for some fishing buddies that live in the SLC area. I have every weekend off and can take weekdays off if needed. I would be more than happy to split trip cost or drive my vehicle. I have all my own gear just hate fishing alone all the time. I got rid of a lot of my ice fishing gear before i moved here but still have enough to enjoy that once winter comes. Let me know if you ya wanna go fishing.

Welcome Buddy! I'm also looking for a fishing buddy or two as my lady isn't always willing to go and we work opposite schedules. I don't have a boat or any fun stuff like that, but would totally help with the costs involved. I also have my own rods and gear, but i'm sure i could develop that alot more once i know what i need for where i'm going. Feel free to PM me a day or two in advance whenever you'd like to head out and let's do it. We look to be about the same age, late 20's early 30's so i feel it'd be a good time.

Where do you like to fish and what do you like to fish for?

Cheers,
Jeremy

Only being here two months and since I do not have a boat I have not done as much fishing as I would like. I have been doing a lot of reading about Deer Creek Res and it sounds like you can do pretty good there. I just haven't made it there yet. I will fish for anything that bites but prefer not to bobber fish if i don't have to. I only have one fly rod but its a 8wt that i used for big pick and large mouth in MN. I am willing to buy more fly fishing gear and i have a good pair of waders. I had to sell my boat when i moved here so i am stuck fishing shorelines for now. Before moving here i did a lot of bass, walleye, crappie, pike and muskie fishing. I have plenty of spinning gear and lures of all shapes and sizes.

I'm always fly fishing every weekend no matter what so if you want to head up somewhere let me know. When it come to ice fishing season I basically go where ever I feel like it.

My friends keep moving every time I find someone to fish with so I'm definitely looking for fishing friends! I don't do a ton of fishing around salt lake until winter time for ice fishing as I spend all my time at the Gorge. My parents have a place up there with boats set up with downriggers and the works. We've caught some nice Kokanee in the last few years and now I'm trying to learn the Lakers (we tried a guide who was absolutely no help as we were 100% skunked).

Send me a PM when you're going somewhere around here. If I'm in town, I'm in for it!

Headed to Strawberry tomorrow to go after some Kokonee. I have a tournament bass boat with down riggers and an electric trolling motor, so it doesn't fit a lot of people but a lot of the time i'm looking for an extra person to split costs. -Russ
