Hi all, we are going up to stay at Trial lake next weekend. I know these lakes will be full of planters. I am just hoping you guys know which of these lakes we should start with? I have only really fished Lake Ibantik in this area as we backpacked in with the scouts a couple years ago. I will have my kids and we will not be backpacking so just the best option within a short walk. From the map I see Trial, Washington, Lilly, Teapot, Crystal, Lost. I will be fishing from shore or maybe from a raft if my father in law makes it up. I have the usual assortment of baits and some flies to use behind a bubble. I could also buy some more flies if there are any that work in that area. Any help on where to start would be much appreciated.

Trial is a great place to start. Try fishing off the dam and be sure to move around if no bites. Also teapot, Lilly and lost lakes are good. If you don't mind the drive head up to moose horn, mirror, and pass lakes. All great fishing from shore. Rig up the fly and bubble. Use olive woolly buggers and you will have success on all the lakes.

No problem. Spoons and spinners will work as well.

I was up at Wall and Lost a few weeks ago and a bubble and worm worked all day at Lost.

I usually do well using smaller flies like a Adams, Black Gnat, Timber Ant etc. Some days they like a larger fly and I will use a double Renegade or black Wooly Bugger. I like Trial from the dam, Teapot from the west side. I do well at Pass and Butterfly lakes. Sometimes I put on a small split shot and fish the fly under the water behind a water filled bubble. Good Luck.
