I got out last night on a trip with a couple of gentlemen that wanted an "all nighter", and we had one. We started just before dark with trying to get a few to hit topwater, but that bite was dead, so we then started on a couple of areas that produce a few fish when it gets dark and we were then able to get a few on our Choo Choo Lures Spinnerbait. The night time action had started. The bite was a little slow to begin with because of the wind being so calm and no current, but as a nice northern breeze started picking up so did the "slamming" of the spinnerbaits. We had some very nice fish to hit these baits when slow rolled off the grass lines and were able to connect with a few nice-uns, but a couple of these "nice-uns" decided that after putting on a nice show and good hopes for landing one for a good pic that they had better plans, and that was jump and throw the spinnerbait and go the other direction. There was nothing these guys could do except get to enjoy the show they had for a couple of minutes and keep on trying for another one. There was one however that didn't get the opportunity to come off, so we made a couple of pics of this "Hawg" and released her back. The nighttime bite is very productive right now and also very relaxing with no other boats running around, just the nice relaxing cool temps of a night breeze and a sudden "slam" on your spinnerbait. Get out and enjoy it while its here. Have fun, Mike Carter
