I'm looking to try Treasureton for either the trout or bass in a couple of weeks.
Has anyone been fishing there recently to see what the water level is and how the fish are biting?
Thanks for any information that anyone has.

I went there today. Water was down maybe 10 feet and was rather murky with an algae bloom. Water was around 70°. I was targeting bass, and I found 54 in about 2.5 hours, but
ly they were all pretty small. I did manage one trout around 18" that hit the Roboworm I was drop shotting with.

Thanks for some good information, Greg. You are always good to pass along the latest conditions.
Wow, it sounds like Treasureton is getting overrun by the bass. What do you think the IF&G are going to do with it? I understand they have been netting some to relocate in nearby reservoirs but it doesn't sound like that is helping very much. Was the rainbow in good shape or skinny? It will be the first week in September before I go so I'm hoping the water will clear up a little and the temperature will be in the 60's.
Thanks again!

No problem, I'm happy to help.
The trout was healthy. I wouldn't call it fat, but it was in good shape.
Those bass are going nuts in there. I went there about a month ago and caught over 80 of them. The only problem is that they're mostly small. Yesterday the majority were 6-8" and the better ones were 10-12". I've heard some rumors of some giants in there, but so far I haven't gotten anything over 15". I have been fishing it in the heat of the day in the middle of summer, so maybe I'll have to give it another try once it cools down and the fish become more active.
As far as managing the bass, they did indeed move some to Condie and Johnson, and they removed the size and creel limit on the bass. I kept a basket full when I was there a month ago, but I doubt that will make much of a difference. I know they've talked about a possible rotenone treatment, but hopefully it won't come to that.
