I'm going to be headed to lake Powell for some boating/wake boarding Etc but I am hoping to be able to drop my line in when I'm there. Never fished lake Powell so just wondering what would be good for end of August near page Arizona. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you

Spinnerbaits, rapalas, plastics. All the usual bass stuff.[cool] Also small jigs tipped with worm Will knock the green sunfish dead. Small white jigs for the crappie. Have fun!

Check out Wayne's Words for current conditions and report. There are lots of boils happening in the mid lake area with the best occurring in the Good Hope Bay area. SMB are always hitting grubs on the slides on the main channel. You can always catch Channel cats in the evenings on the sandy beaches where most people camp. If your targeting stripers I was there a couple weeks ago and night fishing from the bank was pretty productive with whole anchovies.
