Our group of 4 did an overnighter in the Echo Lake area in Murdoch Basin, but started at the farthest lake in the corner and worked back.
At Gem we were able to get Tigers, and also one other lake above Echo produced one Tiger, pictured.
Fishing was so hot Wednesday afternoon, there was nothing they wouldn't take. That evening, we could not get a single fish to bite. I believe a weak cold front, strong winds indicating such, shut things down.
Added another lake to my check off list. And it has been 40 years since I caught goldens, when they planted them the first time in Atwood, Allred, Carrot and B29.
That is one tough road to Echo, the truck did fine though. Took about and hour to go from turnoff to Echo.
