Ok, this does sound really cheap, with the low cost of rods, but Does anyone have a few ice fishing rods they would like to donate to a worthy cause? Me? I like to ask and recycle or rebuild before I go to buy new. Thanks.

I will be bringing 3 poles with me, if you like you could use one. I sure there will be other people up there who will help out too. I trhought long and hard about buying an ice fishing pole until I saw the cost. $4.95 for my pole I just moved my reel over from my regular pole. And $8.95 for one with everything. You can get a real cheapie at WalMart pole & reel for $5.

hey dude another thing you can do (i did this before you could buy ice poles here in utah) is take one of your long rod's that brack down take the top part get a dow or broom stick cut it about 8"long drill a hole close to the same size as the end of the pole insert into the dow and duck tape your reel to the dow and your set..
