Well my last post, I asked about the boat rental from Strawberry Marina. It was a success and worked out really well. My wife wants a boat now...[cool] anyways, she really enjoyed boating and fishing from the boat.

Thursday morning I left our camp early, got the lake at 7:00 and was on the water fishing out of my tube. I tried the first hour throwing flies but had no success. I broke out my jigs and had more success that way. Landing one really fat and nice 24" bow off of a white tube jig. The action was slow for me, caught a few more bows and cookie cutter cutts then called it a day by 11:00. The white tube jigs were the only thing I could get hit's off of and the bites I felt were very light.

Friday morning we got our boat rental and were on the lake by 8:30. We fished all day, I loved it and my wife had a lot of fun. We took the boat back at 5:30. It was a very slow day for us. I threw a lot of different presentations at them but couldn't quite find a hot bite. My best luck was still of the tube jigs, I love vertical jigging so we would just anchor up and fish. My wife actually did better just using power bait. She caught the biggest of the day and also our dinner haha... we took 3 bows back to camp. It was a good day! Thanks for the help with boat rental, we'd definitely do it again, if we dont have a boat by then [Wink]

Nice! You know that now that your wife has been on one that is all she will want? My wife wanted one and I had to say no. I wanted a fishing machine not a party machine.[:p]

Well, what the wife wants, she gets... Looks like you're in the market for a boat.. I'm looking to downsize my boat situation. Let's see if we can strike a deal.

I have 2 fiberglass boats that are 18 1/2 feet long and have 150 hp Mercury outboards on them that I'm trying to sell.

One is $995 with a 1983 Mercury 1500 Outboard.the motor (the motor needs 2 pistons replaced)

The other is $6495 and has a 2010 Mercury 150 Outboard motor in primo condition and a 1983 boat with $3600 work of upholstery that was put in a couple years ago.

I'm taking the 2nd boat up on Saturday to meet a friend and his family, but after that, it's available. Still lot's of time left before the lake freezes over.

PM me if you're interested and I'll give you some more details and pictures of whichever boat you're interested in looking at.
