Saturday was one of my best days ever at Strawberry.
Two of us boated 65 fish between 7:00AM and 1:30PM. All were cutts at the top end of the slot except three... one under and two over.
It was an excellent day up there. The weather was so perfect I was wishing I had a t-shirt on under my long sleeved fishing shirt.
We had doubles on multiple times and once we had three fish on four poles.
Around 11:30 it slowed a bit (we were at 50 by then) but the biggest fish came in right at the end of the day.
That was the first day up there I was literally done.... not so much for numbers but the vast majority of those fish were within an inch of 20 (as many above as below).
Here's a pic of me with the second largest of the day... 22.5" Cutt.

Glad to hear how good it's getting. We're going up this weekend some to deer hunt some to fish. I'm sick of hiking so my boat is going. Hope to have your success.

Sounds like an awesome day at the Berry, were you trolling or jigging?

Congtratulation on a good day.
I was at Strawberry on the 10th also. I launched at Renegade around 8:30am. I wanted to get there earlier but got caught in the I-15 traffic. I trolled due east and west of the boat ramp toward the Narrows. I was using dodgers and nightcrawlers on my spinning outfits. I hooked what turned out to me a 22" Cutt and while bringing it in I hooked another one on my other pole. That one was a 20' Cutt. Later I landed a 21" Cutt also. I had one other double too. Most were in the slot.
I totaled 17 Cutts (4 were small 10' spring planters) and on 19" Bow. The actions slowed down for me around 11:30am also. The weather was awesome. It was a good day to be on the water.

All but 7 were jigging. We trolled over to our first jigging spot and reeled in a few (mostly on trolled flies) before sun up.
And we trolled for a bit about noon when the wind picked up and the jigging slowed.
We did much better for both size and numbers jigging.

Sounds like we had a very similar day on Saturday. I took my dad and my four sons out on Saturday morning. My dad and I never did get to fish because we were so busy taking fish off the hooks and repairing tubes, jig heads and shredded line from the cutts. My 10 year old twins out fished my 21 and 16 year old boys. We caught 68 in all between 7:30 and 11:30am, but my boys say we caught 70 because two of the fish actually had taken BOTH of my twin's jigs in its mouth at the same time. They reeled these fish in thinking that they got their lines tangled, when really the fish took both of their jigs. That happened twice.
Also, we caught 2 slot busters. We kept one of them. When we cleaned it out, it had a 6 or 7 inch crawdad in its stomach. Claws and all. I have no idea how it could digest the shells of that thing. Nor can I believe that it had a full stomach with a huge crawdad in it, yet it was still trying to eat the jig as well.
Strawberry is an awesome reservoir, especially at this time of the year.

That was a great day. I wish every day was like that but it hasn't been.
Trying again Saturday!
