Decided to try and find a giant small mouth so a friend of mine from church and i headed north from cottonport to watts bar dam.Started fishing there and fished all the way back.Beautiful day,trees were full color and fish were hitting.By the end of our day almost 40 bass and been caught and released.Majority were small mouth,with several good large mouth.Crankbaits was the main weapon along with spinnerbaits and a few on a jig.Biggest small mouth probably in the 3 1/2 range but most were smaller.Best largemouth was 5 1/2 pounds.Seen alot of white basss and caught a few that was schooling just to see what they were.Probably could have added several more good largemouth but our main goal was the big brown fish.My friend had a big bass on up at the dam and thought it fought like a brown fish but we never got to see it,it pulled off after a lengthy fight.Never got the big brown but couldn't ask for better numbers in small mouth it was amazing.If I can figure out how I'll try to get some pics on.Well see.GOD BLESS!!!!!!.I
