Went to CJ yesterday trying to get out a few more times before winter. When we got here we were the only trailer in the air force lot. The wind was unmerciful but we went anyway. The fishing was fantastic perch and crappie almost every cast. I haven't seen perch or crappie that big on a consistent basis for a long time. Nothing under 10 inches. Lasted about 2 hours which was all we could take also. got back to the dock to find 1 other fool coming in behind us. ( 2 trailers in the lot). Darn it was a cold wind that never stopped. Sorry no pics lucky we could even cast let alone work a camera.

Nice. It seems a person needs a large boat made to take on ocean waves to be out there in that wind on cj.. I think I would have hunkered down and shore fished!

I used to go out on that lake in my float tube. There were certain days that the fish were biting good until the big "W" came up. At that point I ended up putting up a sail since it was too tiring to kick.

CJ was always good for Smallies and Crappie. I never hit it with ice since I lived closer to Henry's lake. i was in the Rigby area and frequented my Uncles house in Rexburg. Hanrys was just a short drive north from there. [cool]
