Any current info or recent success around Shoup?! Hear it's picking up with the recent cooler weather. I'm heading up Sat. for five days.

Water has been too warm for fishing above 45 degrees until a couple days ago hence fishing has been slow. When it is fish are moving to fast and are not territorial. Cold snap will impede movement and water will get in the 30's. Fishing will still improve but not be great with this weather. Fishing was ok day before yesterday according to a report from friend. Will be a slow week with the nearly single digit lows in Salmon forcast for tues and wed.

Any updates on the fishing, thinking about going down for the weekend?

My dad got back Sunday after fishing for two days. His report was that there were lots and lots of people and very few fish being caught. His buddy caught one fish and that was it.

I was up around Shoup Tuesday and moved up river Wednesday. There was very few people out fishing I heard that there were some fish being caught by Ebenezer but I didn't get into any fish. I fished up stream of the middle fork, and above Owl Creek and a few places in between but didn't have any luck. I guess I need to start fishing with people that know how and where to fish for Steelhead[Wink] I ran up to Ellis on Wednesday and ran into a guy that hadn't had any luck either. I hope that some people are catching them or I hope that the spring run is a lot better! Good luck out there, any day fishing is better than working.

Fished all day yesterday below Ebenezer, and holes all the way up to springcreek, we finally hooked into 2 around spring creek about 1 hour before dark. Between 3 guys we beat the water all day. Fishing is way slow.

Thanks for the input. My dad and I managed to land 6 in 4 days of hard fishing just below Shoup, also fished the clam hole and Ebenezer. It was pretty slow. Probably make it up to Challis next weekend and see how that goes for a day or two.
