JC says: “ Lets get this straight on the whos who of my friends and enemies who drop into my office. There should be no mistake on who is who, first there is Fish Report Boy and we all know what kinda idiot he is. JC screamed: I found that clown on a farm pond in Arkansa drinking a 16 ounce Burgie and smoking Chesterfields, he was fishing for Carp with chicken livers. I felt sorry for the bum so I offered him a job to write my report, well the Rat has been here 3 and a half years now and I cant shake the little sponge.
JC went on to say: Now Chris is my dear friend from Marlin School, a guy I trust with my life. Me and Chris have a lot in common “like we both only have one eye” so we see eye to eye on most things.
Then there is Darrel and JamieB they both work for Chris. Darrel is in school now studying to be a Mango Botonist and Chris also wanted Darrel to study “How to Watch a Cactus Grow in Real Time” as this is what Darrel does most of the time out at the ranch when Chris leaves town. JamieB does all the driving for Chris, hauling all the stuff for the ranch down the Baja. JC says: JamieB has made that trip so many times that he likes to call himself the “Rubber Pato” and can we get a big 10-4 for that kids!! JC shouted: “Oh Yea, Then there is the clowns from across the pond, “The Brits” who think they are Wahoo specialists, well I got some news for those guys I will teach them how to fish for Marlin the JC way before they head home and I will teach those guys how to make some good Shepherds Pie and Yorshire Pudding, the JC WAY!! Them boys don’t know I am a chef!
JC,s LEGEND and LIES will continue next week!!!

Jc Sportfishing Charters is a family owned and operated business and has been fishing in Cabo San Lucas for the past 18 years. Jerry, explains that his charter business is geared more for families and novice anglers, making sure everyone who charters a boat with him have a great time and lots of fun. We welcome families, and groups. We want everyone who fishes with us to take all the sites in and have a memorable experience. This is what is most important to us. We have and do a few tournaments each year and can cater to fisherman who might be interested in tournament fishing. Well lets get on with the fishing report for this past week.

WEATHER: Really nice weather over the last week. Highs in the mid 80,s and lows in the mid 60,s to low 70,s. It is hard to beat this weather considering the very how summer we had this year. It has been relaly hot all year and haven’t had much of winter over the last 2 years.

WATER: Well the water has been cooling down some and we expect it to continue to cool over the next few days. It has had a effect on the fishing it seems when the water cools some we are seeing more action.
Please check out the Tempbreak map link below to get a good idea on water temperatures. http://www.tempbreak.com/index.php?&cwregion=cb

BILLFISH: The Striped Marlin and Sailfish fishing have been good all week. It has been pretty consistent for the last month on these 2 species so we really cant complain. Most charters will hook into some type of Billfish. If you go up around the Light House and head toward the Margarita area, about 2 miles offshore, you will run into some Sailfish and Striped Marlin. We had lots of luck using lures and live bait their.

DORADO: The Dorado fishing was better this past week and we were going crazy gang busters the first part of the week, and then it took a dive. About 150 miles north of us, up around Mag Bay they have been having a Dorado bite off the hook. We are hoping it gets better here in Cabo with the cooling water temperatures but we sure don’t need any of that green alge bloom which will really slows the bite down. I am thinking that this warm water we have in the area is just too much for them and they are staying away. We haven’t seen really too much good Dorado action all year as it has been pretty much hit and miss.

SWORDFISH: Hasn't heard of any caught this week.

WAHOO: The Wahoo fishing has slowed over the past week with really not the numbers we were seeing but still ok.

TUNA: The Tuna fishing is really the story of the week with the Western Outdoors Tuna Jackpot Tournament taking place this past week starting on the 4th of November and wrapping up on the 7th. We understand that there wasn’t a lot of fish caught for the tournament with only like 20 qualifying fish able to make the tournament. We also have had lots of Tuna Seiners in the area before the tournament started and all the while the tournament was going on, and you really have to ask yourself a question of why these boats are in the area during a tournament which promotes tourism, and catches a fraction of the fish that these Tuna Seiners haul in during their stay here. We would like to ask Mexico a question as to why this is allowed to happen? And where is the line drawn as to commercial fishing in some of the richest fishing grounds in all of Mexico, and for that matter all the world. We are asking everyone through Facebook, Whats Up or any social Platform you can use to get the word out about the injustice of commercial fishing boats basically raping this area of fish, and any other type of sea life that gets wrapped in their fishing nets. This should not only apply to this area, but anywhere in the world where commercial fishing and government are working together to make nothing but money $$$ from the sea. So we are asking everyone to speak up about this problem and do and talk to who you can to stop these practices.

INSHORE: Mostly some small Dorado and some Sailfish close to shore with in a mile of the beach in some areas.
It might be worth grabbing a Panga and going out for a 5 hour excursion to see what happens inshore.

Tuna Jackpot Tournament Results here!!
Final Recap of Day one at the scales
Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. when the scale opened there was already one boat waiting to weigh in their catch. According to Team #132 Tuna Hookers, the sea conditions were unsettled and they had decided to come in early. Angler John Damian's 54.5-pound tuna was the first and was at the top of the leader-board briefly.
Matthew Haberkorn snatched the lead from Damian a short time later with his 143.7-pound yellowfin for his Team #105 Tres Amigos.
Matt Clifton's boat, the "El Regalo," backed into the IGY Marina dock with Canadian Team #64 Sol Pacifico Cerritos. Team Captain, Walter Ormerod beamed as he followed his fish to the scale. Unfortunately, it weighed only 112.9 pounds, not enough to displace Haberkorn’s current leader.
Throughout the afternoon, the top weight climbed. Angler Juan Barajas with Team #127 Hookup bumped it up a little more with his 148.7-pounder for the team that was entered across the board.
Team Buckeye Tuna, past winner and long time participants from Dayton, Ohio, failed to change the standing with their 63.5-pound fish.
All of that was about to change when "C Rod" backed into the IGY loading dock. As the fish was being unloaded, one spectator watching the process was overheard exclaiming to anyone within earshot, "That's a big tuna!" Which was echoed by Tournament Director McDonell and debated with Mike Packard the tournaments official Weighmaster.
The crowd of spectators parted as the huge fish was carted to the scale. “Ooohs” and “aaahs” rose from the crowd as the fish was hoisted up. Scale zeroed, the IWS Certified Scale read 210 pounds placing Team #2 AMZ and Angler Joe Zuccolotto were placed at the top of the leader-board and took the heaviest fish in the $500 Tuna Category.
After a lengthy parade of “almost qualifier” in the Wahoo/Dorado Category, Team #42 In It Tuna Win It, Mike King, the team angler and captain's 36.9-pound wahoo -- the only qualifier in the Wahoo/Dorado jackpot -- took the lead. More dorado were brought to the scale but none qualified, allowing the team to capture the win totaling approximately $50,000.
However, there was more drama in the Tuna Category since "C Rod" was only in the $500 category.
When Team #110 Maybe Manana scaled their 198-pound tuna caught by Brad Stevenson, a frequent participant, the team entered across the board and captured all the remaining tuna categories.
The two final tuna weighed were Team #138 Wild Hooker, a 166-pounder and Team #62 Minnie Lou with a 172-pound tuna. Neither was large enough to change the first day standings.
Special charity charter open to all on the start boat "Cabo Escape", leaving dock in front of Baja Cantina at 6-a.m sharp with mimosas, breakfast burritos, coffee and prizes! $20 per person (all proceeds go to charity), lines out at 4-p.m. and scale closes at 6-p.m.or all eligible fish are weighed.

JC,s Baja English Tom Collins Drink !!
Master the all-time gin classic. The Tom Collins is essentially a sparkling lemonade spiked with a healthy dose of the juniper spirit. While there is a debate which side of the pond this drink was born, this cocktail lives up to his classic status with every sip.
INGREDIANTS
2 oz gin
1 oz lemon juice
1 tsp superfine sugar
3 oz club soda
1 maraschino cherry
1 slice orange
In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar. Shake well. Strain into a collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Add the club soda. Stir and garnish with the cherry and the orange slice.
BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs? You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report. Until next time good fishing and we hope to see you in Cabo soon. Come by the office here in Cabo and get all the latest up to date fishing report. http://www.jcsportfishing.com http://youtu.be/tSXN6pifQyQ
