Took the "brand new" boat out on Sat., picked it up Fri, very sweet ride, it was blowing rather good and decent wave's and the boat cruised perfectly at 35mph with no problem's, topped it out at 55mph and still had 1/4 throttle too go, but my wife was squirrelly in her seat and I had the full cover on which I was told not too go over 50 mph with...... but anyhow too the fishing, we only seriously fished for maybe 2 hrs, played with all the new boats accessories most of the day, we managed 28 perch, my daughter was the lucky one, she caught the first fish and last fish of the day in the new boat! was a great time. Perch are moving deeper caught most in 45-50 FOW some came in the 30 FOW range but most are rather deep, I suggest using spider wire or something similar too feel the light bights, any color with black seemed too be working well, some came on white, but most on Black w/ 2 1/8 oz. jigs, I was using a 1/4 oz spoon northland buck shot glider spoon tipped with a black tube body with 1 gulp or two gulp maggots, seemed too work with or with out the gulp, but bite's came more often with a piece of gulp on.

Sweet ride! Better get some hours on it before it gets too cold to float! Ice is around the corner!

Nice looking boat, Matt. The best decision I ever made was to get full curtains for mine. We've trolled for trout in Canada in a full-out snow storm, freezing cold, and we were comfy in shirt-sleeves with our portable heater. We're heading over Wednesday for one last shot at perch. Hope we can find them! Might even do a little trout trolling. Again, nice purchase. Mike

The wife and I were by you at goose island, we were in the red and silver champion. Sweet boat! The perch were stacked up in the narrows, that's why we left it. We were part of the snow bowl tournament. Hope it freezes over in the Bruneau, the perch grew last summer.

Good looking rig and looks like it has plenty of room for the young'uns. You should get a lot of years use from that ride. [fishin]

Yea I talked too a guy at the ramp that was taking pictures for that big tournament, didn't know that all the clubs got together at the end of the year and had a tourney, that's pretty cool, the narrows were a bit windy for the family so we hunkered down in a few spots out of the bigger ways, that and I forgot too put the anchor in the new boat......[pirate]
