As stated in my previous post asking about Fish Lake, we rented a cabin.

We arrived at 530 pm on Friday, to late to do much.

Woke up early saturday and hit the short right by the lodge and the twin creek entry, we didn't catch anything there, but that had to do with the Fly Fisherman that walked right into where we were fishing. He started crushing it.

We came back to the spot at around 3 pm and it was open. We started fishing, and I hooked up a 20 inch Splake that weight around 2 lbs, my GF hooked up a few trout but never landed them, they were rolling on top and spitting the hook.

I landed a 2nd splake, 20 inches as well, and a fat 2.5 lbs.

We then landed another rainbow. It made for a great dinner at the cabin.

Next day, we hit the same spot and was crushing the bows.

We were bottom fishing with powerbait. Nothing liked my worm / salmon egg and bobber combo. Honestly, I was hoping for some perch to fry up, but was happy with the splake.

Thanks for the report. Jigs tipped with worms are a perchs favorite meal [Wink]. I like to use chartreuse to start off with.

You the group on the east or westside of the creek? I waded out right after the two groups left and fished till 8pm stripping leaches on a sink tip and caught splake, lakers, and a few browns. It got pretty cold, car said 22 when I called it a night.

We were on the west side, the gentleman and his girlfriend were on the east side. He was casting out and catching nothing.

We were having fun, but it was cold. 13-38 all day..
