I was so tired after "playing" through all the ball games yesterday afternoon and last night. I think that I did everything that I could possibly do to pull the Hogs through that win over the Rebs. Then by the time Bama came on I was about exhausted and a complete and total wreck! But then this morning I woke up and heard an old Gospel song ringing in my head, "Shall We Gather At the River" and so I decided to do just that! After all, who am I to question Devine intervention? I put in at HB and started chunking the spinner bait again. I caught a 3.14, a 2.12 and a short fish right off the bat. Then it went South on me for a while. But I kept throwing that spinner bait. Finally at the edge of some scattered grass I felt a fait little tap and the rod loaded up a bit. I set the hook and the fish just exploded out of the water immediately. She jumped completely out of the water two more times and then started digging for the bottom. I just let her run a bit and finally pulled her up along side the boat and into the net. I could not believe it! I quickly got my scales out and weighed her in at 10 lbs. 2 ozs. Then I put her in the box until I could find someone to take a couple of pictures for me. In just a few minutes I caught another fish, a 4.2 and then another fish about 2.0 or so. I didn't weigh it. About 1 pm I went into HB and found a nice fellow unloading and he snapped the pictures for me. Thank you again. I then released the fish to fight and thrill someone again someday. I'll send the pictures to Dink Dink and see if he can attach them. If not he may have to start another thread again like yesterday. I still just can't believe that after more than 55 years of fishing and chasing that elusive trophy that I catch two on back to back days!
