any ice fishing to be had anywhere by next week?

I wouldn't bet on it, except for some Uinta lakes. I was fishing in Huntington and Cleveland from the shore last weekend, I wouldn't walk on their ice for at least three weeks. You don't want to be the first "unidentified angler missing after falling through the ice" on KSL this season.

Ice is very scarce right now. It was beginning to form on some small mid-elevation lakes on the South Slope of the Uintas last week but the winds we had this week took it off.

I just ice fished yesterday below 9000ft. The ice is out there. I'd bet some lakes on the Manti are ready. Probably some (legal) boulder lakes too.

Anybody checked out Huntington/Mammoth the last day or two? If so, hows the snow up there?

Planning on hitting Huntington Friday. Anybody know any ice conditions? Any idea how much snow is around?
