Finally something worthy to report! Launched from Wolftever a little after noon. Went on a 45 second ride to the pockets around Harrison Bay. Went to the back of the pockets and saw plenty of shad and a few bass bustin' on top of what's left of the scattered grass. Threw top water, spinner bait, chatter bait, jerk bait.... nothing! Finally, around 1:30, caught a 2 pounder on a weightless Senko, silver flake, Texas rigged snapping it through the grass. After that, fished that pattern at multiple locations in the HB area, even went to Chester Frost but struck out everywhere. I decided to head back towards WTBR, now it's right at 4pm, but before I got there I decided to make one last stop. And man, it turned out to be the best 45 minutes of fishing I've ever had. I was in 15-20 FOW casting a Red Eyed Sexy Shad in 4-8 FOW... snatching it through some deeper grass. Wound up catching 6 keepers, 2 were at least 7 pounders, easy! Both of those came on back to back casts! Caught over 20 pounds on this one spot!
