Got out in the yak for a few hours today. Really dedicated to learning how to fish umbrella rigs this year so that&#39;s all I took. Launched at soddy creek at Armstrong bridge about noon and got to work. Hauled water for most of the day. Had just enough bites to keep me interested. All the bites were coming off vertical structure with no hookups until I got on a plain looking pea gravel round. First cast nothing, second cast let it sink to the bottom and let it dredge for 4 or 5 cranks and BAMMM!!! One about 7 pounds to the boat thrashing all the way. Unfortunately I didn&#39;t land him but my confidence was restored! Fished like that the rest of the afternoon with a few more dinks that didn&#39;t have any trouble being landed. Back at it tomorrow. Fish were coming out of 9 feet. Water was 54.5 <br /><br />Harrington
