We are blessed. I have been hunting some but my deer hunting has been poor to say the least. Could have shot a doe but not ready yet. To put some deer in the freezer if I don't see a shooter buck soon I may have to. Had to work some this morning and call a couple people about alarms. No one wanted me to see them today so I decided since I was also out of fish in my freezer it was time to hit the lake for a little winter crappie fishing. emoThumbsup

The Chick has to have more crappie on it then any other lake I have ever crappie fished. I did my usual dock shooting and bluff fishing. I lost track of how many I boated. I did not hit the century mark but considering how I got a later start I was very happy with the 70 to 75 I did bring into the boat. Came home with a nice limit of crappie between 11 to 13 inches. Made my wife and I four messes. emoHungry

At the docks most came very close to the bottom. It was a ten to fifteen count. At the bluffs it was a 10 to twenty count. Had some good current out on the river. As usual my ammo of choice was my little ultra light crappie rod rigged with four lb high viz test. All were caught on Bobby Garlands in green. Now is the time to get out there and have a blast. Could not have asked for a better day.

Have a great one. emoAngler Jmax
