Does anyone happen to know if there is any fish able ice on rock port yet?

I haven't heard anything yet. Probably the best way to find out would be to call Rafter B and ask.

[cool]The Rock isn't safe to ice fish yet. It usually freezes around New Years Day, but some years a week or two after that. Last year? Forget about it... My prediction is it will be good to go this year in 2-3 weeks...

I was there last week, no ice. Not even around the edges. Its going to be a while.

Unsafe ice over the whole lake as of today. It capped last night

I don't see anyone out there (I don't have a good look toward the ramp though). The ice is no longer semi-translucent and is clearly frozen. I see a bunch of pressure cracks, so it seems like the lake is freezing up quite nicely. Too much going on to go down and poke a hole in and see - but I'm guessing it's still unsafe even though it's been keeping negative over night pretty consistently.
