Hey guys,
In case anyone was curious...
The DWR used part my fishing report from this forum for the Scofield fishing report they just posted on http://wildlife.utah.gov/hotspots/reports_se.php
Only problem is they mixed up the numbers for the cutts and chubs (hopefully on accident), potentially giving many of us anglers false hope. It's also entirely possible that my writing skills could use some improvement to avoid confusion in the future... lol

Hey guys, sorry for the delayed report. Life got a little busy since last Saturday. We went to Scofield with a little apprehension about the ice last Saturday and had a great time. The ice was probably 8" thick right at the opening to the dam arm. We caught 51 fish and all but 5 were chubs... the rest were very unhealthy looking cutts, all about 9" long - at best - and very skinny.
We had a great time, but it was sure depressing to see the cutts that we caught and to only catch a few of them
Excerpt from the DWR's post:
Dec. 12 reported catching 46 nine-inch cutthroat trout and five chubs. The cutthroats were small and skinny. They used a variety of tackle, including small ice flies, small jigging Rapalas, Rat Finkees and Ratso's. One angler suggested using large tube jigs that help keep chubs off the line. Another angler advised against them altogether as they seem to attract chubs. Popular fishing locations include the dam arm and bay that opens onto the lake.
Just thought I'd share as I found it interesting.
