Yesterday I was fishing at the mouth of the canyon on the weber and caught a nice perch. Have you guys caught perch before on the weber? I'm guessing it came down from echo and had about a 40 mile journey to where I caught it. Besides the perch fishing was slow. I could only get fish to hit a brown tube jig and they were hitting light. I had about six other hits and two other fish on but they got off. Two weeks ago I fished the Weber and had a lot of luck with brown and olive beaded wooly buggers. The fish seem to be right on the bottom of the river in the deep holes right now. The male browns seem to be thinner than usual right now. I'm guessing recover from the spawn?
I'm going to try and load some pictures

I've caught Bass on the Weber below Echo and a few little dinosaur looking fish that I forget the name of... but never a Perch.
Maybe I should have hit the Weber instead of Mantua...

River perch are fun to catch.
I fish for them in the outflow of Cascade reservoir in Idaho and the outflow of Johnsons, above Fish Lake.
