It's been a busy week at work, so this is a week late. A couple of guys and I went out on the ice last Thursday to one of my favorite lakes. The day started out pretty quick, catching one 18 inch trout within two minutes. But after that, the next two hours only brought two more trout for me along with two perch no longer than three inches, and two more trout for them. We decided to move, but the ice was only about three inches where I wanted to go. So I went out, and they headed another direction toward safer ice. After an hour or so they left, but I had a steady bite of bass and bluegill for the next three hours. Toward the end, I hooked into one nice 17 inch, 3 pound bass. All were released for another day.
