[#800000]Left Ogden at 6:00 AM and headed towards Woodruff reservior. As we topped the hill at the Wyoming Port of Entry, the thermometer on the truck was showing -24. Ouch! What in blue blazes was I thinking?[/#800000]

[#800000]When we stopped at Jody's for breakfast, the temp had risen all the way up to -16. After eating we proceeded towards Woodruff and got as far as the small bridge crossing the creek coming out of the reservoir, about 1/2 mile or so from the parking area. No go! My brand new Michelin M&S tires were not near aggressive enough for the dry snow (absolutely no traction) and frozen ground underneth. So we truned around and headed, instead, to Little Creek.[/#800000]

[#800000]When we arrived at the dam, there were already a family gathering on the ice and they were pilling several trout onto the ice as we were getting our gear ready to go. It didn't take to long and we were on the ice with holes drilled and pulling trout out as fast as we could get the lines in the water - at least I was. Five trout up and out in about 10 minutes. With and without bait. Didn't matter. There was one small problem - they were all planter bows under 10 inches.[/#800000]

[#800000]I moved three more times and ended the day with one 17" and one 14" bow to bring home for dinner. We packed up at 3:00 PM and headed home.[/#800000]

[#800000]I'll let Kent and Eric regale you with their own tales of daring do on this grand, but frozen, adventure to the east. Sorry, but it was just to darn cold for me to think about taking pictures.[/#800000]
