Fished the confluence today. Great fishing. I landed 19 lakers and six bows. All out of the same tent location in 60' of water. Kept having fish come through at ten feet but they ignored my tubes. Sent a paddle bug down and really had a nice rainbow bite. Big fish of the day was this nice 3# bow. The little details are everything with the Mac pups. We had seven guys in our group and some only caught one or two. Tried to talk everybody into fishing farther down lake. Rumor is ice goes past buckboard. Finally some good ice. Can't wait to hit the big bend!!!

It's cold enough out there to freeze all the way! Damn cold! But, I'm holding my breath to survive and somehow keep some open water around Lucerne until the "January thaw" arrives, and ride El Nino right into spring. We'll see, but these sub-zero temps are not in my favor. Still no ice at Lucerne or Stateline. There's ice at Anvil though!
