Took a ride down to Pelican bay marina on the west side of Utah lake, had thoughts of a few white bass for spring bait.
notta, 10 or 12 feet of water and soft ice along the shore and questionable ice after that, not one car in the parking lot or fisherman anywhere.
Stopped by the gates on my way home, rocks sticking up though the ice in the middle of the river bed.
The pictures tell the story.

I pulled a small girl from the water at Pelican bay harbor after falling through the thin soft ice next to the docs. Parent was in the car in the parking lot. I would not venture on to UL ice myself. The only good thing is the water is not very deep.

Where did you find 10-12 feet of water? I've fished there 3 times this year and found 3 feet of water.

Thanks for the ice update.

I believed the 10 -12 feet is referencing how much distance from shore there is water and soft ice, not depth. 2 feet at best on the depth.
