We are planning at rip to FL this weekend and when I called the lodge the lady said there was 14" of ice, when I asked about machines on the ice she said ATVs havent been able to access the lake because of the snow between the parking lot and the lake. WE have always parked at Lakeside and driven from there onto the ice no problem, even in heavy snow years. has anyone been recently that could shed some light on the conditions? Thanks

You won't have any problem getting on at lakeside. We were there last week. Myself, as well as several other atvs and snowmobiles had no problems. I think she is probably referring to the north end of the lake. That big berm gets built up down there from the snowplows. Good luck! The fishing was nonstop for us all 3 days we were there.
