Has anyone fished the Rockcliff arm of Jordanelle since last weekend? What are the ice conditions like. I fished out from the main ramp in Hailstone on Sunday and had pretty consistent action for planter rainbows in 17 feet of water using a chartreuse rat finkie tipped with a piece of night crawler. Ice was 3-5 inches with a little slush on top near where people had fished the day before.

When you fished Hailstone did you try for perch?
Was the ramp clean enough you could drive your gear to the waters edge?
Thanks.

We were actually there for Perch, but after reading some posts on here, my assumption is that we were not fishing deep enough. The first hole we drilled was in 39 feet of water about 50 yards from the big submerged tree in the back of the bay. I dropped to the bottom and reeled up once. I got slammed about a minute later and broke off (user error on 2 lb test). My guess is a decent sized perch right on the bottom because it never showed on my fish finder. Didn't get anything after that so moved more shallow and had consistent trout cruising through. Did end up with a couple 4-5 inch perch but nothing consistent. Used the eyes on a couple of jig setup and didn't get any love. I was using garlic scented smelly jelly and each time I reapplied, I would have a few fish show up on the finder with some really light bites. The ramp was clear and getting gear on the ice was no issue.
