I hiked out a long way from the marina today 1/15. I fished in 15' of water and caught 4 nice cutthroats. I've been hoping to catch a slot buster, and I caught one too close to call. In the image the tip of the rod to the start of the handle is almost exactly 22". So close.

It bit on an orange rat finkee tipped with meal worm. I also caught one on a tiny, single hook swedish pimple. I didn't even get a looker when I tried a 2.25" white tube.

Thanks for the report. This unsettled weather makes the fishing very unpredictable, glad you caught a few. I got skunked my last time out!
