Fishing Forum

The lake was rising, lots of debris floating, and was the color of coffee with cream in it. But, the rain was over, the wind was light, and the fish were hungry. I took a couple of friends over to some public land to hunt deer on, but I decided that I would crappie fish instead of deer hunt. I had a good day. Fishing alone, and working docks that I don't normally fish, I found crappie under about 6 different docks. One dock yielded 8 keepers under it and no shorts. It was the first time that I have ever fished this dock and I have passed it up about 500 times in the last 6 or 7 years. Grin. I was able to cull one shorter fish and took home a limit of fish for the freezer. Biggest one was just a shade over 13". The fish were all healthy. <br /><br />I caught the fish on 1/32 oz Panfish Assassin in the S/P 1.5" size. You can see the pic. I caught all fish on this jig or ones just like it. Grin.
