Dr Phillip Gawthrop, my hero, Richard Simms, and I had a short workday today on the lake putting out American Fishing trees. Afterward, I had Wanda take me to Tyner Lane ramp and launch me for a 35 minute fishing session. Stopped at my only spot today and caught 3 nice keepers in a row. Then had one pull off and decided to change colors. Then I caught two more in a row before the fish quit biting. I had 6 bites, 4 keepers, 1 short, and a heavy fish to pull off.

I am experimenting with Panfish Assassins lately and today I tried 3 different colors. Blue Ice caught the first 3 fish. I then fished with Slamming Chicken for 3 casts without a bite. It was time to try the 3rd lure which was a Crystal Shad with a chartreuse spike-it tail light and a red head. Caught 2 in a row on this lure. I released all fish, but the smallest keeper (11.5&quot
came back to the top and was dying, so I scooped him back up and took him home to make a crappie sandwich. emoBig
emoGeezer Water temp was 48.9 degrees. Sunny skies, and very little wind. Tomorrow the wind is supposed to be 15 mph, so I guess that this chicken will stay home. emoUp
