We went there over the weekend and it was a little rough getting in to the parking lot due to the new snow but it was passable with a 4 wheel drive to the boat ramp. Fishing was slow, we fished from 7-18 ft and the fish were active right off the bat but it turned off quick and the fish would only bite once in a while. I Hope this helps you out.

How were the edges? I wonder how much longer til the edges break free. Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

My brother in law and I fished on the 13th from about 1/130 til dark. Totally sucked. I used to love this place and ice fish there almost exclusively, but I hadn't been in years and was hoping for a blast from the past. Not the case.
I had probably 8 bites or so, but very very light, and nearly impossible to hook. They were always tricky biters, and I was probably a little rusty, but this seemed clearly lighter and finickier than I ever remember seeing there. I did hit one where my drag was too loose, and I lost hold of him in the gather-up.
We did finally each hook/land a fish to save the skunk, but they were dinks, probably last years plant. Not the 18-19 inch cookie cutters that I have about a billion pictures of. Both of them were hooked by such a thin thread that is was hard to believe we landed them.
Ice was super thick, and edges were fine, but that was before this warm spell of course.
