Got up this morning and saw the north west winds, snow, sleet and overcast. Cold! Thought, I bet those crappie would be biting. Had to go try it. Only had one customer to follow up with so after taking care of work, off I went. I did try a little bass for the first hour but without a bite went to crappie. Not a lot of hits but most were keepers. Put about 20 in the boat with mostly keepers. Had five really goods ones in the 13 inch class. No traps today. Bought home a dozen to keep for the freezer. (pic) Snow and sleet was really pretty on the water. emoThumbsup Could of done without the wind. Made it really hard to detect the bites. I missed several I know of and no telling how many others with such a big bow in my line. emoRolleyes There were a couple other idiots...ah...I mean anglers out today so I was not the only one. emoTongue <br /><br />Water temp was still holding 45 to 47 degrees. Most were caught 15 feet plus. Had a couple off of points, docks and bluffs. Nice afternoon trip. All caught on BGs with four lb test. It will only be getting better. emoToast Jmax
