Thinking of going over to bear lake tomorrow.
Any advice on where to go to catch anything? I was thinking the rock pile but haven't heard many good fish stories from there and I haven't heard of anyone fishing the east side over by cisco beach. any thoughts?

I will be traveling down as well for the first time in years to fish the "Great Blue". Been a long time since I have been on that lake but I'm sure not much has changed. We are staying at the Worldmark by the State Boat Marina so I just figured I would walk out from there a little ways. I'll be wearing gray wool pants and a blue Carhartt coat. Ice from what I have been told is solid but with this sun and warmth the last couple days the day might be a little soft. I'm taking a narrow piece of plywood just in case. I also have been told white tube jigs have been the best producer. I plan on fishing in 15-30 f.o.w. Good luck and maybe I'll see ya down there or up there in your case![Wink]

Straight out from the beach below garden city park has been good in 20-25'. There are weed beds there and it is attracting lots of fish. Also, on the east side we've been doing well straight out from the pump house in 20-25'.
The fish are pretty full of eggs and just got over the Cisco run so they aren't very hungry, but there are still some biting.
Honestly the best fishing has still been on the rockpile with plenty of whitefish and a few trout. It's probably the best chance someone has if they don't have a secret hotspot.
